I  am an Australian trained clinical psychologist and a licenced clinical psychologist in Austria. My  training includes cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), schema therapy, mindfulness, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and acceptance and commitment therapy.

I was born in Reykjavík, Iceland. I studied psychology at the University of Iceland and earned my Postgraduate and Master of Applied Psychology with specialisation in clinical psychology at Murdoch University in Perth, Australia. During my studies I specialised in assessment and therapy for both adults and children.

I lived in Perth, Australia for four years studying and working as a clinical psychologist in different hospital settings. In Australia, I  specialized in trauma, anxiety, depression (including postnatal depression), grief and loss, personality disorders, self esteem, personal growth, positive parenting, attachment issues and early intervention.

I have  now been living in Austria for around 16 years with my Austrian husband and three sons.

I was managing and supervising  the student Counseling Center at Webster Vienna Private University for 10 years before going into full time private practice.

With my practice work, I teach psychology courses at Webster Vienna University and IES abroad.

I am  accredited as a clinical psychologist in Austria (Eintragungsnummer: 12794) and  registered with the BÖP (Berufsverband Österreichischer PsychologInnen).
